Waggoner's Poco Bueno Crowned Grand Champion Stallion
Poco Bueno owned by Paul Waggoner of Ft Worth won grand champion in the aged stallion class at the American Quarter Horse show tied to the Texas Cowboy Reunion. Red Bobby Reed, a three year old chestnut mare owned by R L Underwood of Wichita Falls, was named grand champion mare. Danny D. owned by Claud C. Arnold of Ardmore, Okla, took reserve stallion, while Powder Parks shown by Roy Parks Jr. of Midland earned reserve mare. Raymond Lewis of Carlsbad New Mexico judged the event with Albert Mitchell, president of the American Quarter Horse Association, and Raymond Hollingsworth of Amarillo in attendance.

Codo ridden by Lloyd Jenkins of Ft Worth won first prize and the saddle in the cutting horse contest at the Texas Cowboy Reunion. The event drew 46 entries Saturday morning with Jesse Everett of Snyder on Trusky taking second for 75 dollars, Cap Ethridge of Guthrie on Beller F third for 50, and Nig London of Throckmorton on Poncho fourth for 25.

An overflowing city crowd joined the Texas Cowboy Reunion parade Friday at 11 a m led by the Hardin-Simmons Cowboy Band. Horse Kicks Shirt Off Back in Rodeo Drill
Miles Eugene McBride U S Navy returned home from California on leave to ride in the dronc riders contest during the Texas Cowboy Reunion. A horse he was riding struck him tossing him off and ripped the shirt from his back with a flying hoof causing only minor injuries. He was treated at Stamford Sanitarium.
