Voters to pass upon a 65 000 dollar school bond. A contract awarded to Halfo ny Construction Company of Abilene for a new Bryant Link store costing 46 000 dollars. The 85 by 150 foot reinforced concrete one story structure may later add two floors. K B Bryant touts it as the finest West Texas store with large show windows and walnut interiors. Completion set in about 120 working days, around January 1.

Sixth Annual Lueders Encampment Opens Next Tuesday
Arrangements are complete for the sixth annual Lueders Baptist Encampment at the Clear Fork near Lueders opening next Tuesday, July 10, and running through July 22. Dr. Millard A Jenkens of Abilene and Dr. T L Holcomb of Sherman will deliver inspirational addresses during the first and second weeks respectively. The grounds include a large tabernacle, teaching pavilions, water and sewerage systems, a swinging bridge, and facilities for baseball, tennis, volleyball, and croquet. A new Y W A camp for women 17 and up will also be held, with capacity for seventy girls.

Stamford School District plans additions for eastern area
The Stamford County line district votes Saturday July 7 to fund building a four room elementary school in the eastern southern portion of the city. Proposals include a fireproof building, home economics cottage, training shop, library with reading room, improved gym and storage, and upgraded facilities in the high school area. Residents consider paving and permanent equipment to be installed by opening of the new facilities.
