Stonewall County Pioneer R F Tomlinson Dies at 72
Robert Franklin Tomlinson of Old Glory aged 72, long time Stonewall County resident, died Friday morning Jan 4 1946 after years of illness. Born Dec 14 1873 in Arkansas he moved to Stonewall in 1894 and was a farmer and rancher. He married Cora Bryan in 1900. five children were born, one died in infancy. His wife died in 1918 and he later married Berdie Hill. He served as Stonewall County commissioner for eight years and as a school trustee. Funeral Sunday at 2 pm in Old Glory Methodist Church with Rev Cockrell. Burial in Old Brandenburg cemetery. Survivors include his wife, children Bryan Ruth Peters Lillian Hackebeil Helen Jones, a sister Nettie Sikes, a niece and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Out-of-town relatives attended the funeral.
