Stamford firemen answered eight alarms in five days in February as dry weather sparked grass fires. A grass blaze at 407 Hanna was extinguished, while crews fought fires at 508 Oliver and 714 N Berthelot, with two more grass incidents and a barn fire at 411 N Swenson.
