Claude Webster, longtime MKT passenger conductor between here and Waco, recalls starting on December 4, 1899, with Texas Central. Now on the MKT line to Stamford, he notes changes from freight brakeman to conductor through Texas Central and Missouri Kansas and Texas successors. He plans to keep busy after retirement, with his wife in an antique shop and clock tinkering.
