Santa Claus will host a community Christmas tree event in Stamford Friday at 6 45 pm. The American Legion and VIEW posts prepared 500 bags of fruit candy and nuts to be given from the north side of the post offices lawn. William Wallace Scott 75 prominent retired businessman died after a cerebral hemorrhage at Stamford Sanitarium. Funeral at Central Presbyterian Church with Rev. FitzGerald and Rev. Turpin. burial in Highland Cemetery. He managed the Stamford Mill with Elevator for 30 years and served on the First National Bank board. He was born October 31 1874 in Burleson County Texas and married Nellie Mae Larche in 1924. He left a daughter Flo Scott and siblings George, Mary, and Clara. Pallbearers named.
