Funeral Held for Clarence A. Taylor in Gillespie Cemetery
Clarence A. Taylor aged 55 died of a heart attack Saturday morning at 8:20 at his home northwest of Weinert where he had lived 25 years. Funeral services were Christmas Day at Gillespie church with Rev. Claude Stovall and Rev. I J. Duff officiating. Burial followed in Gillespie cemetery. Kinney Funeral Home in charge. Born June 22, 1883 in Comanche county, he married Mises Anna Stevens on April 19, 1910. Survivors include his wife, three daughters Mrs Burt Claiborne of Ralla, Mrs Ruby Cowan and Miers Louise Taylor of Weinert, two sons C A Taylor Jr and C C Taylor of Weinert, three brothers and two sisters.

Mrs W H Bennett of Lamesa died in a San Marcos hospital Monday night from injuries sustained in an automobile wreck north of San Marcos last Thursday. She was daughter of Mr and Mrs FE Hood former local residents now in the Rio Grande Valley. A sister and her husband were en route to Lamesa for the funeral held Wednesday afternoon. Mrs Bennett formerly Miss Irene Hood lived here years ago. her husband died several years ago.
