Stamford Red Cross Chapter reports a sharp rise in memberships and total receipts surpassing last year. L. W. Johnson notes 523 members to date against 502 last year and $702 collected this year versus $608.81 previously. Contributions from numerous solicitors are listed as the drive plans continue. The Stamford High School Bulldogs beat the Stamford All-Stars 6 to 0 on the Bulldog field. About 200 spectators watched as Sneed sparked the All-Stars with broken field runs while McCann stood tall for Stamford Bulldogs. An injury to Bunkley marred the match as first-string players were sidelined by prior injuries.
