Dr Randolph Clark founder of Addranceland later Texas Christian University died at his daughter’s Dallas home. He helped establish the school with his brother Joe Clark, led its move from Thorp Spring to Waco and later to Fort Worth in 1911. He held honorary trusteeship and left surviving brothers T M Clark and Ad dison Clark, and several other relatives.
Locke was away from the city when he went missing and had not returned by Wednesday. Lois Green is named as secretary in the chamber, with recent subscriptions from city establishments supporting the program. Locke previously served as chamber secretary and later as county commissioner, handling road building equipment and supplies.
The Avoca Home Demonstration club met November 21 at 2 30 in Mrs Tom Hammer’s home with Mrs R J Hines as assistant hostess. Officers elected for 1936 include Henge as president and Ear Rennels as secretary treasurer. Members accepted annual reports and planned a Christmas party and county fair involvement.
A surprise dinner Sunday at 485 N Swenson Ave honored R F Huddleston's 69th birthday. Attendees included family and friends such as Mollie Key and Dallas and local residents. A pink white cake baked by Mollie Key featured the number 69.
The Peckham and Danciger No 11 Well near Stamford reaches depth 1530 feet with 8 inch casing being set. The well is under a quarter mile north of the current production and expected to reach water or oil soon. Peckham indicated progress confirmed this morning.
Nationwide campaign to honor Will Rogers extends to December 15 after Thanksgiving closure. Stamford donors and local clubs back the memorial to aid handicapped children with officers John Selman and Chas Coombes leading the Cowboy club. Contributions, including $64.50 locally, are welcomed at listed banks and businesses.
