Three Stamford People Injured In Car Accident
Three Stamford residents were injured when their Ford sedan collided with a heavy truck six miles south of Anson last Friday night. S. L. Moore, secretary and treasurer of the Stamford and Western Gas Company, his wife Alice Moore, and Lua James sustained injuries. fourth occupant Mrs. S. S. Boutwell of Abilene escaped harm. Mrs. Moore suffered a broken nose and knee injuries and is expected to be released from Stamford Sanitarium soon. Moore sustained injuries to head, hand and knee. James sprained her wrist. The crash occurred after the sedan passed a farm wagon in dust, causing both drivers to misjudge, with the truck veering left as the sedan turned right.

Rotan Youth Dies En Route to Sanitarium
J. E. Hammond Jr. 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hammond of Rotan, died on the road between Rotan and Stamford after his parents rushed him to the Stamford Sanitarium for medical care when a hoe cut an artery in his leg. Kinney Furniture and Undertaking prepared the body and transported it to Rotan for burial.

Mrs. T. B. Tunnell Dies at Family Home in Fort Worth
Mrs. T. B. Tunnell died at 828 South Ferguson Street on a Tuesday morning at age 69 years 7 months. Funeral services were held at St. John's Methodist Church with Rev. D A McGuire and others officiating. Interment was in Highland Cemetery. The Kinney Furniture and Undertaking Co managed burial arrangements. She is survived by her husband T B Tunnell and nine children with several siblings and many relatives listed as attending or informed.
