Stamford Postmaster J. Frank Adams Dies at 50
Stamford mourns postmaster J Frank Adams who died at 2 30 a m Monday August 10 after a lengthy illness. Born August 4 1875 he had lived in Stamford many years earlier a barber and later a trusted official and church member. Funeral services were held at St John Methodist led by Rev D B Doak with Out of town attendees and family surviving his wife and two sons Lloyd and Gomar.

Man and team drown in California Creek flood
Luther Nelson a 51 year old Swede farmer from Frickdahl was drowned Saturday evening when his team of mules and wagon were swept from Swede dam in California Creek. An all night search found his body downstream. inquest ruled accidental drowning. He left ten children and his funeral was held at Bricksdahl Lutheran church. Stamford Mutual Insurance pays $1000 to his guardians.

Boy Rescued After River Mishap at Lake Penick Dam
