The Proctor ranch well near the Haskell county line 18 miles east of Stamford shows continued strong gas and oil flow. Drilled by H H Adams of Fort Worth and Moody Co it attracts lease activity at about 10 dollars per acre as crews report steady progress despite water pump issues. The test, begun ten days ago, produced gas totaling about 8.9 thousand feet and increasingly found oil in successive rock layers as depth reached around 1 800 feet.

Vera Bank Robbed of 11900 Cash in Knox County
The Vera Bank in Knox County twenty miles west of Seymour was robbed Saturday night. Thirteen hundred dollars in cash was taken along with all notes and papers. The robbery was discovered Sunday at about 3 p.m. The Vera Service Station was also robbed of tires and tubes.
