Ben David Montgomery 68 of Fort Worth died Thursday in a Fort Worth hospital after 35 years in the city. Once a contractor and paint manufacturer, he owned a paint store. Survived by son Harold Montgomery and granddaughter Diane Montgomery of Alice, sister Mrs. Harvey Garrett of Fort Worth, and nieces Mrs. Pow1 Stone of Denton and Mrs. Astin. Rev and Mrs M C Turpin of Orange visited Stamford friends during vacation. Funeral held the following Saturday.

Southwestern Bell Telephone Company plans a new Stamford dial telephone building on Hamilton Street facing 55 feet of frontage. The lot, bought from Mrs. Audrey Nowlin of Wichita Falls, will require relocating the existing house. Construction contracts are expected to be awarded early next year as plans and a tailor made dial switching system are prepared to meet rising demand since World War II.

Budley Raines 56 of Lubbock died there and was buried July 17 at Tech Memorial Park after a funeral at Asbury Methodist Church. He formerly ran the Anderson Clayton Cotton Agency in Lubbock and golfed, having won the West Texas championship. Survived by wife Fay Jobe, son Donald Bishop Raines, daughter Murl, sisters Betty and Mrs. Inglish, brothers J E Raines and others, with pallbearers and Stamford friends in attendance.
