Dorothy Campbell a 14 year old polio victim daughter of Mr and Mrs E W Campbell will walk without crutches after a series of operations at Scottish Rite Hospital Dallas. She underwent two leg operations and now wears a cast awaiting cast removal after ten weeks. She will return to Dallas for final check and continues school at Stamford Junior High.

Stamford plans a second Share the Profit Day on May 5 with merchants offering deep discounts in the shopping area. A 16 page tabloid newspaper will be distributed in towns as far away as Monday advertising the event. The Retail Trade Committee of the Chamber of Commerce revived the event last month, reporting improved business and cooperative merchant support with many items cut to a fraction of normal prices.

Two Stamford Pupils To Attend Finals
Stamford high school seniors won first place at the regional Interscholastic League meet in Abilene and will represent the school at the state meet in Austin on May 6 and 7. Bob Tinsley took first in the slide rule contest and Spencer Billington won two track events headlining the 100 yard dash in 10 seconds and the 220 yard low hurdles in 22.7 seconds. Marvin Rinn placed third in the 180 yard run helping Stamford to second place behind Beady in the regional meet.
