Shriners Visit Stamford With Band Show and Play
Shriners of Maskat Temple Wichita Falls conducted their annual good will visit to Stamford on Saturday evening. The program opened at 7 p m with a band concert directed by Gerald Bond and an exhibition drill by the patrol on the square. A performance of The Redheaded Step-Daughter by the Little Theatre of Wichita Falls followed, drawing a large audience before a dance in the auditorium. Marshall Franklin led the tour, with Clarence Rogers and Albert Ellis present. Liu Yu-Chin of Peiping China is noted as eight feet tall.

Louis Thane Dies at Home Near Haskell
Louis Thane 35, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Thane of Stamford, died at his home three miles north of Haskell after a long illness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. H. Muehl at Haskell cemetery on Monday at 3 p.m. He is survived by his wife Anna, daughter Dorothy, a son, and his parents, along with several siblings.
