The Texas Cowboy Reunion Association directed a building plan on the reunion grounds in Stamford Texas. A stone wall will bear cattle brands marking engravings by contributors with $15 per brand. Miss Bernice Caldwell teaches extra curriculum business classes at the high school. Two weekly sessions run from four to six with bookkeeping drawing 14 regular attendees and typing plus shorthand 18 students. Classes meet Monday and Wednesday evenings for bookkeeping and Tuesday and Thursday for the other courses. Study pauses June 20 and resumes in the Fall.

Mrs. John C. Guest longtime Aspermont Star owner and editor died in a Abilene hospital from pneumonia after a brief illness. Her funeral was held at the Aspermont Baptist Church officiated by Rev. J. S. Tierce with burial in Aspermont cemetery. Arrangements were by W. N. Kinney Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband a son two brothers and two sisters.

City Council set a May 1 election to approve a 126000 dollar water revenue bond issue to fund Stamford water system improvements including a flood storage basin at Lake Penick and a new water treating plant. Government grant would total at least 29000 dollars if the bond passes.
