Death of Mr Graves at Fenwick

Nad Captured After Quick Chase At Hockertown
Nad, a boarder of Jailer Catlett, fled from Springfield to avoid custody. Marshal Grace and Catlett cornered him at Nad’s home in Hockertown. Nad leaped from a window to escape, sprained his ankle, and was captured after a short chase returning to his residence.

Mrs. Nannie Edelen Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Nannie Edelen died at her husband’s two mile home from Springfield on September 15 after a year long liver cancer battle. She was the daughter of the late Judge John H. McIntire and married J Polin Edelen in 1870. eight of their twelve children survive. Funeral Mass was held at St. Rose Church and interment followed at St. Rose Cemetery. The Sun extends sympathy to Mr. Edelen, the children, and friends.
