Nine months ago C. R. Martin and Ella Caylor wed in Illinois. After a quiet concealment the couple publicly announced their marriage yesterday. Mrs. Martin, a modiste on Fifth Street, and Mr. Martin, a Danville meat merchant, prepared a home on East Main Street and began housekeeping amid public praise for keeping the secret.
Mr. Clem Hamilton of Loretto Marion county died last Friday morning aged 92. He was father to Patrick Hamilton Ned Hamilton and Mrs Josie Newton and Mrs Etta Hamilton of the county. He was a devout Catholic with many friends. Interment at St Charles cemetery last Saturday morning.
Miss Agnes Keene daughter of Mr and Mrs Milton Keene of the St Rose neighborhood died at her parents home Sunday and was buried in St Rose cemetery Monday. She was about twenty two and had been in ill health about three years. An excellent Christian she died comforted by the thought of a home beyond. The Sun extends sympathy to the sorrowing father mother and to her brothers and sisters.
