Sturgeon Found Guilty of First Degree Murder

Died of His Injuries in New York auto crash

Daniel Noble 21 son of Charles Noble of Colorado and grandson of the late Judge L H Noble of Louisville died from injuries suffered in an auto accident about six weeks prior. An expert auto and engine builder, he held a key post in a car manufactory. His remains arrived Monday night and were laid to rest Tuesday at Ryder cemetery beside his grandfather.

One of the citys largest real estate deals in months closed Wednesday afternoon when the three story brick store on Main and Market streets sold from J G Phillips to Minnie E Putnam for 11000. The building is occupied by the firm N H Putnam.

Grandfather Clock Fetches 51.25 at Local Sale

At Mrs. Caro line Thompson’s estate sale four miles from town the 151 year old Grandfather Clock sold for 51.25. Bidders Mrs. E. L. Davison of Springfield and C. A. Wilson of the county vied, with Davison prevailing. The relic, rare and well preserved, drew attention for its age and ticking movement echoing pioneer days.
