Pen's Mistake in a Bush Hotel Dinner Scene
In a Bush Hotel kitchen Mrs Goffey argues with her husband over a guest's staying room and meals while a young woman in a silk dress sits uneasily. The scene shifts to intimate tension between Pen and her former fiancé Tom Geoffrey as they confront a wedding ruined by past choices and a looming remarriage. The piece blends domestic farce with emotional undercurrents as Pen weighs love against a failed past and a new future.
