Death of Mrs. Elizabeth McElroy in Texas
Mrs. Elizabeth McElroy died at her daughter Mrs. P C Harty's home in Williamson County Texas after weeks of illness. The funeral was held in Hutto Presbyterian church with Rev M C Hutton of Georgetown assisting. Interment followed in Hutto cemetery. Born March 13 1832 in Springfield she married R L McEvoy in 1852 and moved to Texas in 1876 near Hutto.

Stable Fire Threatens Home on High Street
Fire broke out in the hay loft of Mrs J L Barbers stable on High street Wednesday afternoon. The blaze menaced the stable but was quickly controlled by the fire department. Several bales of hay and the upper portion of the loft burned before containment.
