Fatal Accident Kills William F. Booker at Strater Station
William F. Booker Sr secretary of the Peaslee-Gaulbert Company died after a shotgun at Strater's station discharged when a playful dog bumped the gun. The fallible trigger fired into his left side as he waited for the Prospect car at 3 30 p m. He died on the inbound car before medical help arrived. Booker, born 1848 in Springfield Kentucky, was a deacon of the Second Presbyterian Church and survived by six children his wife Miss Nella Owsley, his mother and siblings including Paul Booker Mrs E H Bowen and Mrs J P Claybrook.

Death of Edward Blanford Veteran Civil War Local Resident
Edward Blanford died at his brother in law C R Fillin treau near St Rose after a long illness. He was seventy, veteran of the Tenth Kentucky Infantry and a devout Catholic. Funeral services were held at St Rose and he was buried in the cemetery there.

Robt Riley Hurt At Saw Mill In Willisparg
Mr Robt Riley suffered two severe fractures of the right arm while at work at a saw mill near Willisparg last week. His arm was caught in a belt and broken above and below the elbow. The injuries are painful and serious but are expected to heal in time with proper care.

Tragic wagon accident kills Marion county child
Four year old Joseph Blandford Jr. died after being crushed beneath a wagon wheel on the St. Rose and Lebanon pike seven miles from Springfield. He climbed onto the wagon as horses stirred, fell under the wheel and the stomach was run over. Parents are grief stricken as community expresses sympathy. The Sun notes the family’s loss and prays for the child’s peaceful rest with angels.

On Thursday night November 14 1907 Mrs Margaret A Noe aged about seventy died at her daughter Mrs Thomas Comstock home of dropsy after a year of declining health. A member of Springfield Baptist Church she was remembered as a conscientious Christian and loving mother. Her husband died in 1885 and she left several relatives including Mr Noe Mrs Comstock and Prof Cotton Noe. Community and church mourn her loss.
