Mary Brockwell, 28, cowers in Paducah jail charged with murdering her three children aged three to nine. She says farmer George Albritton urged the crime and later denied the tale. she confessed after hours of police questioning.
Mr H R Eddleman was injured last Thursday afternoon when a falling limb struck his right shoulder as a tree he was sawing toppled. He was briefly unconscious but soon recovered and was taken home to recover.
Announcement of the marriage of Mr J R Claybrooke and Miss Beata May Litsey set for Wednesday May 10 at the Litsey home in Pleasant Grove. The couple are among the county’s most popular young people and well known to many friends.
The Union Sunday School Convention will meet in Springfield on Saturday May 18 1905. County Secretary Mrs Brion Crooke urges superintendents to start local discussion and aims for the best county convention yet.

Mr Geo Cambron a wealthy farmer of Union County died at his home near Waverly last week. He was known in Washington County where he had many relatives.

Perkins comes well recommended and patrons are urged to support him. Farmers busy with the new crop season. weather inspires hope. H. A. Key and wife and Mrs. M. F. Gooch are sick. The Wings of the Morning is expected to start strong.
News reaches us that Smith Drury and wife lost their house and contents to a Monday fire. They were away at the time and the total loss is uninsured. Origin of the fire is unknown.
Last Monday night Fredericktown residents were startled by a hotel blaze at George Alvey’s establishment. Firefighters battled the flames and contained the fire with limited damage. Mary Hamilton visited Louisville. Mrs. Byron Crooke and Miss Shauity were noted in recent local activities.
Voting this week remains unpredictable with contestants bunched and lively competition expected until noon Wednesday next week. Hustling by supporters could swing outcomes in a short span.
