Two young children of Mr and Mrs Ed A Boblitt died in a Monday morning fire at their Mooresville home. A three year old boy heroically pulled the cradle carrying his infant sister from the flames but could not save her. Neighbors and physicians described Mrs Boblitt as seriously burned and the family in deep grief. The house and contents were destroyed with no insurance. the community seeks aid for the bereaved couple.

Death of Mrs Lucy Hubbard at Jensonton
Mrs Lucy Hubbard died at her home near Jensonton yesterday afternoon from consumption. A widow with three orphan children, she belonged to the Methodist church and was a good woman. The funeral will be held this afternoon at Beech Grove conducted by Bro. PB Walker from Mackville, with interment in Isham graveyard.

A large crowd gathered at the Sunday school room of the Presbyterian church last Thursday for a reception honoring Rev and Mrs Lawson. Chocolate coffee and wafers were served by church ladies. Auctioneer 8 M Campbell reports a well attended sale of E F Bucklen in Marion County. A seven year old Jennett sold for 505 dollars a two year old Jennett for 200 dollars. A son and eight pigs brought 966 dollars. Nineteen yearling sugar mules brought 122 dollars each and work mules ranged from 100 dollars to a pair of three year olds at 344 dollars.
