Bishop if living, or to nephew Thomas Mulligan if not. It also directs sale and reinvestment of the homestead with proceeds divided between wife and son, and assigns a 100 acre Simpson Creek property in thirds for the wife’s life use, then to the son or Mulligan. Funeral expenses and debts are to be paid by the son.

A Louisville inquiry reports J C White sought in Louisville for forging hotel and business checks. Police say unsigned checks were taken from Geo Mullican’s private book in Winchester Ky. White was arrested Saturday night in Indianapolis at his home on 949 Alabama Street by Indianapolis detectives. Local and Winchester authorities allege he entered J C Mulligan's Winchester office to secure signed checks and passed one for 825 at the Fifth Avenue Hotel.

Pistol Duel Ends in Double Fatal in Louisville Saloon
In Louisville, Frank E. Stigger, chief of detectives for the Kentucky and Indiana Bridge and Railroad Company, and William T. Charles, a former switch foreman for the same firm, killed each other in a Cleveland Avenue saloon after a long feud. The duel occurred about 5:30 p.m. inside the bar with proprietor Al James as the sole witness. Both men died within moments after the exchange. Stigger in the hospital car en route to Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, Charles on the saloon floor. Crowds gathered nearby as detectives carried Stigger away and witnesses recalled the fatal confrontation.
