Death of R H McElroy A noted Washington county citizen
The Sun reports the death Tuesday morning June 18 1907 of R H McElroy at his Lebanon home. Born March 25 1856 in Washington county he lived there all his life and left a fine farm sold recently near town. Surviving are wife Miss Tate McElroy five living children and several siblings. A respected farmer businessman and church member his loss is mourned by county residents. Funeral services at the Methodist church were led by Rev. Lyon and interment followed in Lebanon.

Fire on Spalding avenue behind A Kelly Son grocery damaged two one story buildings at eight this morning. N A Spalding Son stock was almost destroyed. The other building, recently a colored millinery shop, was unoccupied. Spalding Son carried 200 insurance. The fire caused excitement across sections as reports circulated.
