Mrs Mary M Williams widow of Rev W H Williams editor of Central Baptist Saint Louis died at 5 10 am at the home of her son in law Rev William J McGlothin professor at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary 1987 First Street Louisville She was born July 9 1845 in Charleston S C survived by five children including Mrs William J McGlothin and Miss Bessie Williams of Louisville Mrs Andrew Johnson and Mrs John T Long of St Louis Mrs Everett Gill of Rome Italy and the Rev W H Williams of Springfield Ky Burial plans call for relatives to take the body to St Louis leaving the McGilton home at 6 pm tonight

Came Near Drowning Cited in Local Bathing Incident
Stith Noe, the young son of Mr and Mrs Hugh Noe, narrowly avoided drowning last Saturday afternoon while bathing in Little River. Lifesaving actions by bystanders prevented a tragedy. The family, residents of the area, are asking for caution near the waters as the incident is investigated.

Union Station Destroyed in Louisville Fire
Union Station the main passenger depot for the Louisville and Nashville Railroad in Louisville was burned Monday night. Loss estimated at at least 300000 plus invaluable records from two decades. Fire discovered just before 10 o clock. efforts to fight it failed. Built fifteen years ago, the stone structure had served L and N as Louisville’s main passenger station since 1891. The building was gutted and walls partly collapsed.
