In 1860s Nebraska a paymaster robbery netted $78,000. Col Cheney, a secret service veteran, and two loyal aides pursue Buck Ewing’s gang from Smedburg to a frontier mob riot. A lynching threatens the accused until Gen. Reynolds sends troops. a dramatic rescue ensues and $70,000 is recovered.
