The Washington Circuit Court opened its February term with Judge J. H. Thurman presiding. He instructed the grand jury on indicting regardless of opinions of laws, covering fish liquor weapons and highway offenses. The docket is light. the grand jury foreman E P Dedman leads with a listed panel and petit jurors could not be fully named.
Yesterday morning at 9 o clock in St Rose Church Miss Edna Edelen and Mr Thomas Filentreau were married by Rev Father Higgins. The couple plan a bridal trip then live in Louisville. The bride is daughter of Mr and Mrs Geo Edelen and sister-in-law of Mr Sam J Anderson. The groom is a Louisville businessman. Deputies took Jim McKenna and Ben Lancaster in custody for housebreaking. The St Dominic's church ladies served a charity dinner raising 115 dollars for cemetery improvements. Bardstown Standard notes Mr James Comes found dead in bed at his brother Jeff Coomes residence. nephew Willie Coomes last with him night before.
Mr. Coomes dies after slight pain and remains in usual health. Survived by brothers Frank William Jeff and Cooper Coomes and sisters Mrs Leonard Baker Springfield Mrs Jno Mulaney Neil Mulaney and Miss Mary Lizzie Coomes Louisville. Funeral at St Josephs church Wednesday at 10 a.m. by Very Rev C J O Connell.
The Opera House Friday night hosted Mrs Temple's Telegram done by home talent with Ray Bankson and Sydney Morris assisting. The show pleased a large audience earning proceeds for St. Dominic's Church after paying the instructors.

Theodore Fenwick died of pneumonia after a illness under ten days at the home of his brother in law W A Smith. The 28 year old Fenwick, from the Fenwick family, had lived in Springfield and was survived by his mother Sallie Fenwick and several siblings. Funeral services were held at St Dominics Church.
