Death claims wife of Dr. Rodman Williams in Pleasant Grove

Funeral services for Mrs. Rodman Williams, born November 23, 1882, wife of Dr. Rodman Williams, were held February 4 at the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church. She joined the church at 18 and died February 2, 1907, with a burial at the local cemetery. Relatives express faith and hope in heaven.

Declared Insane In County Court

Hanson Robertson of the Texas neighborhood was declared unsound mind in county court yesterday. He went blind some time ago and his despondency due to blindness is thought to have caused the insanity. Robertson, about forty, is married with eight children.

Primary set for Democratic Railroad Commissioner race in Kentucky Second District

The Kentucky Democratic district committee ordered a primary for the Second Railroad District on April 2 to nominate a candidate for Railroad Commissioner. An assessment of 6000 was approved to fund the primary across 32 counties with entries due by March 12 and payments by March 14. The district committee will canvass results April 11 in Louisville, with potential cancellation if a single candidate files by March 12.

Protracted Hartford Meeting Praises Rev Lyon

The Hartford Herald reports pastor Rev G W Lyon of the Methodist church has led a two week protracted meeting with growing success. Seven joined Methodist, two joined Baptist, five penitents and two professions near study end. The meeting continues as interest stays high and songs including the Glory hymn spread through the congregation.
