New Gothic Baptist Church Opens in Kentucky
The handsome brick Gothic church for the local Baptist congregation is completed and ready for the first service led by Rev. W. H. Williams on Sunday morning. Sunday School starts at 9:30, with a large planned interior featuring oak pews, brass rail, and flexible classrooms. Architect Brinton B. Davis of Louisville designed it. Krueger & Miller built it. Dedication planned for late January or early February 1910.

At six thirty this evening at the Catlett home in Greensburg the marriage of Edna Catlett and Hark Shehan was performed by Rev. W H Williams. The bride wore amethyst silk and carried roses. Ollie Catlett was maid of honor and Pete Shehan was best man. After the ceremony the couple will visit Mrs Coffey before residing nearby. Edna, daughter of G D Catlett, has served as a telephone operator and is noted for courtesy. Hark is the son of Dad Shehan and is described as a man of fine character.

Death of Mr Drury veteran of the Union Army
Mr James Drury aged about 70, a Union Army veteran, died yesterday at 1 p.m. at his home near Jenkinsville after contracting pneumonia. He was surrounded by family except his daughter Mrs Jim Steele. He is survived by his wife and children Mrs Jno D Burns Mrs Jim Steele Mrs Dick Graves Mrs John Best Smith and Oscar Drury. The funeral services were held at Mackville this afternoon.

John Murphy fifty of Market Street lodging house quarrel turned violent at 1 30 this morning leaving him with a fractured skull and near death at City Hospital. Wilson Canter twenty five is held on a charge of assault as police say Murphy attacked him after a heated dispute.
