Horse Freed After 15 Years Held Prisoner in Altoona

A once rebellious horse in Altoona Pennsylvania was kept in a stall for 15 years after running away and upsetting a buggy. The owner sold the horse to drayman Pius Injon. The animal, fat yet weak, could scarcely walk at first. Hoofs measured a foot before eight inches were removed for new shoes.
