Sam Spalding, a Black man, was tried yesterday on a charge of selling whisky in local option territory before Judge Litsey. The evidence showed Nad Hardin gave Spalding money to obtain whisky which he then passed to another negro who bought the liquor in Bards.

She had been sick since last Wednesday and leaves surviving her mother Mrs Sallie Mattingly sisters Cynthia Waterman J F Simms F W Simms brothers Ben J L F Mattingly John Bernard Mattingly and grandmother Mrs Cyntha Thompson. Funeral services were held at St Dominic church and interment followed at St Augustine cemetery in Lebanon.
