Monday evening the Council met with all members present. A bill about city gun keepers requiring licenses at fifty dollars a year passed 5 to 3 after suspension of rules. A committee reported two rooms offered at 120 dollars per year. A resolution instructed the street committee to prepare an ordinance closing 150 feet square in the Public Square for a park. A police force reduction to two members was proposed. Neighbors on Campbell Street were willing to sell land to open the street. Bishop Ryan to lecture on Three Popular Delusions. Jim Denton, Young, Wolner, Paxson, and Hodgett discussed land needed to open the street. Olive Street lot owners demanded full purchase. Various ads and notes appear within the issue, including medicinal product promotion.
