Lodge Honors Harry Cousins At Whitemouth

The Canadian Order of Foresters at Whitemouth held a banquet and dance on October 12 with about 150 in attendance. Harry Cousins received the Past Chief Ranger’s jewels after joining in 1901 and serving in all court positions. A letter announced a new Foresters court opening at Beausejour on October 15.

Bridesmaid Rae Hoban and attendants wore yellow and peach gowns, with carna tions and lace details. Best man was Joseph Debouts. brides maids were Beryl Nichol and Valerie Manchester.

Pinawa Engaged Shirley Ann Leith to John Harkness

Pinawa Manitoba announces the engagement of Shirley Ann Leith, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Leith, to John A. Harkness, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Harkness of Lac du Bonnet. Far from the Hall Dance Ends Early After Fatal Wreck

Three people were killed near the hall when a dance ended suddenly and survivors helped at the wreckage. Authorities and witnesses described a chaotic scene as responders arrived to assist.

Three Hurt When Cab Jumps Road Near Pine Falls

A taxi carrying Arthur Richmond Della Pinet and Roland Boulet left the highway near Pine Falls Saturday. Richmond 43 is in serious condition with skull fracture internal injuries and concussion. Pinet 17 has multiple cuts and bruises in good condition. Boulet 23 the driver is in Winnipeg with a possible jaw fracture and injuries, in good condition.
