Reducing Poultry Feed Waste by Hopper Height

Waste of feed from hoppers is indefensible in poultry management. Hopper height and feed level influence waste. Low hoppers force birds to stoop and reduce spilling. high hoppers invite turkeys to pull out and play with feed. Keep feed about two inches below hopper lip to minimize scattering.
