A large crowd attended the annual fun fair on Friday with proceeds to furnish Whitemouth Hospital. Guild president Mrs. F King thanked attendees and honorary president Mrs. G Cousins opened the event. Prizes were awarded for raffles including a table lamp and oil painting. The evening raised about 700 dollars with praise for guild members and district groups.
Dr. A J Mooradian, 43, appointed managing director of Whiteshell Nuclear Research Establishment in Pinawa Manitoba. Former director of development engineering at Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories, he is noted for nuclear fuel development work and international conference papers.
A surprise supper and dance in Whitemouth Municipal Hall honored Mr and Mrs Michael Kiepatz of River Hills for their 25th wedding anniversary. About 150 guests attended. Toastmaster Herman Beeskau and Rev A H Eppler led the evening. The couple received a chrome suite. Out of town guests came from Winnipeg and Brickdale.

Eric Hertzog and Bob Primmett plan trip to British Columbia staying with Bobs aunt and uncle.
Members of the New Democratic Party held a victory dance at Holiday Beach last Saturday with a large crowd in attendance. The event welcomed attendees from other parties and featured notable guests including Mr. Ed Schreyer his wife Lilly and his father in law former MP Jake Schultz.
Powerview Parents Teachers Association held its November meeting with guest speaker Mr. G. Carriere, a teacher and sports director.
