Local Hallowe'en Social and Community Notes
The Brokenhead East School held a Hallowe'en Social with a raffle, raising 36 dollars for a low governance project. A surprise house-warming for Mr and Mrs Joe Konderman in Ladywood featured a speech and gift chair. Grand Beach bus service returns, and six more TV antennas rise for local families. Community events include plays at Ladywood Hall, a spelling contest at Brokenhead Main School, MFA and MLFU meetings, and farm meetings with Mr Jake Schultz as guest speaker. Residents travel to Cat Lake Mine for a tour of a modern cook house and living quarters.
