Remembrance Day ceremonies took place at the cenotaph led by Chaplain Masson of the local BE SL post with a detachment of legionnaires and school pupils. Wreaths were laid by local residents and the community held a memorial service at the Chateau the preceding evening. A Legion banquet and dance followed the Remembrance Day observance at the Legion Hall.

Christmas Bazaar to Be Held by St Johns Lac du Bonnet
The St Johns Anglican W.A. of Lac du Bonnet will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on Thursday November 19 at 7 p.m. in the Community hall. Brokenhead Council backs drainage U floodway plan
Stanley Copp urged Bro kenhead Rural Municipality to set a firm spending limit for the drainage U floodway. Pine Falls Man Dies In Fire
Frank Smith of Pine Falls was burned to death when his home could not be saved by the fire department at 5 am Sunday morning November 15. Russell Taylor, who first noticed the fire, called the fire department and helped evacuate Bob Heubner, the other resident, who suffered serious burns and is hospitalized.

Mrs L W Dowswell addressed thirty members of the Whitemouth Hospital Guild. Mrs Cliff Connor presided and recounted the Women's Hospital Auxiliaries Association convention she attended in Winnipeg. The group organized a card party and pantry shower to benefit the hospital on December 4.

Seven Sisters Forms New Club In Winnipeg Event
The Seven Sisters Community Women's Auxiliary formed a new club and held its first meeting with Mrs Mae Hignell as president opening the evening. John Ligertwood of Winnipeg, Dominion President of the Anglican Young People's Association, spoke as guest and shared experiences from the World Conference of Christian Youth in India. Slides showed missions in England Scotland India and more with commentary on clergy activities. The event drew a large crowd and included a silver collection.

Hospital Guild Changes Regular Meeting Date
A hospital meeting of the Seven Sisters and River Hills Guild was held on Nov 9 with 19 ladies present. Mrs G Carr chaired.
