Pointe du Bois 4-H Club Holds Achievement Night
The Pointe du Bois Flissing Fingers 4-H Club held Achievement Night on May 18 in the Community Hall with a large crowd. Betty McLaren judged Clothing and Foods Projects, aided by Lac du Bonnet leaders Mrs. Puddicombe and Mrs. Lucko, and W Lambert judged Woodworking. Red ribbons dominated, with Perry-Kon taking Grand Champion and Kevin Knox Reserve Champion. Foods and Clothing clubs enjoyed multiple ribbons. Melanie Scott led the program, with Mrs. A Puddicombe guest speaking and Dress Revue items shown. Irrepressible fashion bits, Mod Mod World of Fashion, drew laughs. Rally dates, camps, and Gold Seal honors highlighted the evening as leaders received certificates. Prompted by Mr. Lambert, the group praised high standards and thanked helpers, with page ten to continue.

Trees Planted On Agassiz School Grounds
About 2 500 trees have been received by the Agassiz School Division for planting on school sites. They will be distributed to various schools to alleviate barren grounds. Students are eager to help with planting and watering, especially in the first year, after regular hours or on Saturdays.

Officer Cadet Ronald Redmond Halpin of Pine Falls Manitoba finishes a four year Honours International Studies degree with commission His activities include rugby soccer water polo volleyball basketball swimming and he served as Cadet Squadron Training Officer.
