Hammerstedt, Secretary R. M. Park, and Manager F. Shewfelt. R. Park and A. Arsenault named delegates for a North Eastern Manitoba League meeting at Tyndall on May 8. Membership tickets will raise funds. Practice nights set for Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 30. J. Russell will handle equipment and C. Brown will be official scorekeeper. Thanks extended to C. Brown for the use of his home and to W. Hammerstedt for donated equipment.
C Wendebers Armas Sukava of Winnipeg visited his father Mr F Sukava. W Misiurka returned from Overseas and visited his mother Mrs L Misiurka. Welcome home Bill. Mr and Mrs W Kurian became Elma Hotel proprietors on May 1. Mr and Mrs Chanway and son Peter drove to Winnipeg to visit their son William. Mr and Mrs S Preston of Winnipeg spent the weekend with Mrs Preston’s parents Mr and Mrs W Martin. Mr and Mrs J Rafalant moved to their Elma home bought from J Koralewich on May 1. Miss Nettie Bodnar of Pickle Crow Ontario returned to Elma to visit her parents Mr and Mrs H Bodnar. W Zavada returned from Overseas on leave to stay with his mother Mrs S Ewach. Welcome home to all. Among Winnipeg visitors this week were A Zavaduk, P Barski, J Barski, W A Kochur, Mrs A Boretski and Mrs M Janiuk.
John McLeod former Lac du Bonnet resident died at St Boni face Hospital on Saturday April 27. Funeral services were held April 30 at Notre Dame Church with burial in Lac du Bonnet cemetery. He was 65, born at Headingly and moved to Lac du Bonnet in 1919. He was married to Mrs. Demeria’s daughter and is survived by his wife two daughters Rosella and Alice and two sons Joe and Leonard.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Seven Day Adventist Church in Whitemouth for Julius Kuhn who died Wednesday at his home. Born in Poland he came to Whitemouth many years ago and farmed until retirement. Survived by wife seven sons and three daughters.
Dominion communities form committees to lead a June 17 to 29 clothing drive under Canadian Allied Relief. Last October the public donated over 12,000,000 pounds of serviceable clothing sent to war devastated Europe. William M. Birks of Montreal returns as National Chairman. local committees and chairmen are urged to participate again.
Mr and Mrs T E Rougeau and family met Rin de Montigny in Winnipeg while J Craig returned from Overseas to Seven Sisters home on April 26. Calgary Highlanders veteran was wounded in 1944 and later joined Winnipeg Rifles. A group of Seven Sisters and Winnipeg friends joined in greeting. Others visited Winnipeg, with extended family from Sperling Wellard Transcona and Winnipeg noted among local visitors and travel to events.
United Church members greet G Johnson who takes over services for the summer from M Thompson. D and G Sergent work at Grenfell, Pte D Rielly visits his father, and Pte Rielly has served overseas. Local entertainment adds Friday night pictures organized by veterans. Various residents face hospital stays, accidents, or amnesia and reward offered for missing dental plate.

Reg Webb visited his parents A E Webb for a weekend. Andy Rabichuk recently returned from overseas.
ST GEORGE J P Gagne formerly manager of the St George Creamery has left for Winnipeg to take up new employment. Jean Banville, defender for the same creamery until April 3, has departed to St Pierre Manitoba to work with his father, a contractor. Mrs W W Lowrie and Billy are moving to Winnipeg where Mr Lowrie works in the Engineering and Service Department of Canada.
Kathleen May Karklin and John Tyndall wed at J J John's Church on Friday April 26. The Rev E G Bissell officiated. Attendants included Louise Karklin and Fred Tyndall. A May 4 reception followed at Pointe du Bois Hall. The couple will reside in Pointe du Bois for a short period before moving.

Krampetz. Omer Bernard visited Mr. and Mrs. W. Walsh. Bob Pearson stayed for the week end. J. Willick and son Gordon of Seven Sisters Falls visited Mr. and Mrs. A. Erickson. Relatives gathered at J. Richards’ home to celebrate Bob Pearson’s birthday. Omer Bernard, discharged from the Army, plans to resume patrol duties and rests with the Walsh family until Mrs. Bernard and their son move from Winnipeg. Fred Tyndal moves to Switch Tower at Lac du Bonnet. The family has moved from Lac du Bonnet to Seven Sisters Falls. Birthday greetings extended to Mrs. P. Ryplanski, Mr. W. A. Walsh, and Mrs. A. Krampetz. Welcome extended to George McLean for the summer work.
