Canadian trapper 85 dies after long museum service
Thomas Reid of Rennie died in his cabin on April 27 at age 85. Born in Scotland, he came to Canada in 1894, settled in British Columbia before moving here, and for 45 years trapped and collected birds for the British Museum. Services were held at Russell Funeral Home with burial at Beausejour. Pallbearers included J. McNab D. Vass J. Engel C. Turner R. Crandall J. Kaatz. He is survived by a daughter Mrs. Holmes of St. Vital and a son Scott of Prince Rupert.
