Quebec plans to bring 50 to 100 French war orphans aged seven to eleven to the province for the summer. Most will come from the Caen district where Canadian troops distinguished themselves in the last war. At St John’s United Church Manse in Pine Falls on April 20, Germaine Berard and Clarence Hutchison were married. Rev W McDonald presided. Radio updates at 10 15 p m each night kept constituents informed.

Mr and Mrs Arnie Anderson visited Mr and Mrs J Buss. Easter Monday dance drew a large crowd to aid the rink fund.
