Beausejour Amateur Night drew standing room only on Wednesday March 18 as 27 month old Freddie Klingbell won a junior talent prize. The event netted 170 dollars for the Memorial Centre fund with main prizes including Norma Matthews and Bille Black in the juvenile accordion group and Marie Galay with a vocal solo. Adult honors went to Steve Kot for dancing and the Beausejour Sympathy Orchestra.

Farewell Party Honors Seven Sisters Couple
Mr and Mrs G L Carr of Seven Sisters Falls were feted at a farewell party in the community hall on Tuesday evening March 17. About 100 friends attended as gifts included a coffee maker and toaster for Mrs Carr and an engraved desk set and picture for Mr Carr. Speakers included A Krampetz and A S Williams, with M E Wentz H Hudson and H Ligertwood also remarking. Family members present included Mr and Mrs Ducharme and their son Lanny and Miss L McIntyre. The event featured court whist and a luncheon.

Seven Sisters Lent Meetings and Hockey Fundraiser
On March 5 and March 12 the Seven Sisters Lenten meetings met in the community hall church room with leaders Mrs H Leith and Mrs M Hignell assisted by local members. A duet was sung, collections were taken, and Stan Gittins thanks locals for hockey season support including three broomball games that earned about 60 dollars and thanks to caterers Mesdames King Gittins and Gibbons.
