Northeastern Manitoba Power Toboggan Championships Conclude
Weather improved allowing all races to finish as planned after a heavy March snowstorm. Finals began after one and proceeded without delays, with one incident of a machine leaping a bank but no serious injuries. About 300 spectators watched five cross country races, then awards were handed by Lac du Bonnet Power Toboggan Club president Earl Kristoff. full results to appear next week.

The sixth annual Science Fair will be held Tuesday, March 30, in the Centennial Elementary School auditorium from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. About 50 projects from Grade 4 to 8 students will compete with cash prizes at every level. The event is open to the public.

Peter United Appointed Assistant Principal
At its March 15 1971 meeting the Agassiz Board of Trustees appointed Mr P Unfried as Assistant Principal of the Lac du Bonnet Collegiate with an effective date of September 1 1971. Unfried holds a BA from the University of Winnipeg and trained at the University of Manitoba. He has served at the Lac du Bonnet Collegiate since 1968 and the school will exceed 400 students by September 1 1971. An addition under construction totals 30 700 square feet about 42 classrooms, including shops home economics labs a new auditorium and other facilities.
