The Pine Falls Ice Carnival drew strong praise and raised about $800 for the Pine Falls Skating Club. Miss Bunny Miller won the Queen contest with Miss Joan Richardson as Princess. last year’s queen crowns the new queen for the 1956 57 season. Peter Shaw presented wrist watches to the queen and princess. gifts from local stores were awarded. The wonderland show featured direction by Lyn Wood scenery by Nick Smorang and costumes by Mrs Beaulieu. The executive, John Hutchinson, thanks all helpers and participants. The carnival poster contest earned Corke first, Linda Johnson second, Marilyn Pasaluko third.
