The Lac du Bonnet Men's Open Bonspiel crowned the John Usackis team champion after a 7 6 comeback from 4 1 down on Harley Nesper. Supporting players were Mel Saunders, Jim Dru chet, Sean Patterson. A second event saw Ron McDowell win 11 6 over W Wiebe, with team including Ron Rice Gary Derkson Mal Pellow. The Bob Laurie foursome from Pointe du Bois won the third event 11 9 over Bruce Chapman. A total of 38 teams entered.
