Whitemouth notes celebrate birthdays and weddings, honor graduates, and share visits. Mrs. T G Erskine’s family events, Mrs Benson formerly Latta, and Wardrop relations feature among local acknowledgments. Residents travel to Vancouver and Spiritwood for studies, with various social activities at churches and guilds.
They have spent the last year working on projects and now hope to visit Whitemouth in the early fall to take a break and see the area. The note highlights anticipation of travel, timing, and a desire to reconnect with the place.
Local notes from Dencross: congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Tymehuk on the birth of a baby girl June 15 at Beausejour hospital. Anne Krowchuk returns from Brantford and spends a holiday at home. Shirley Weereschuk finished Normal School and visits home. A 25th wedding anniversary for Mr. and Mrs. Joe Molinski June 27 at St Marys Hall Beausejour. Hospital updates include Harry Litgertwood at St Boniface, Mrs George Hillman in Whitemouth, Mrs Ed Kretchmeir recovering, and Herb Baker back home after four weeks in the city.
On Saturday night June 20 the Kinghorns were greeted by 28 friends with lunch and refreshments at their home in a surprise visit. Fred Oxholm toasted the couple and Ollie Kinghorn replied. A separate note reports Lac du Bonnet visiting Seven Sisters for a 2-2 tie in a late start game.
Garson notes detail gatherings and health wishes. Joe Patulack and wife enjoyed a weekend with ATENIs while Mrs. George Peedle underwent a simultaneous teeth gut and tonsil operation. Mr and Mrs Fred Leiman and H L Anderson traveled to Hamilton Ontario and eastward. William Bourgeault returns home from Gaspe after marrying Trine Trapp on June 27 and plans to work in Quebec. Mrs Harry Pearce celebrated her 69th birthday on Sunday June 28, an old-timer of Garson since 1904. Sergeant Bob Carr and wife from Camp Shilo visited Detroit Lakes and M Kotele in Garson. Mike Wasney shows a new Pontiac 53. wishing him many future trips.
