Noxious weed funds limited to street weed cutting. property owners to manage theirs. By laws 17 and 18 passed on third reading. Resolutions approve health officer inspection after the clean up and authorise a university extension course for the secretary with office closure.

Gull Lake school field day on June 10 featured five schools: Glenmoor Greenwald Stead Thalberg North and Thalberg South. Seven Graduates Honored At Lac du Bonnet Exercises
Lac du Bonnet high school held graduation exercises on Friday May 29 with seven Grade 11 graduates Shirley Richmond Velma Tuokko Gladys Walesiak Wilfred Hrysio Ernest Shume Alice Zolondek and Joyce Park as guests of honor. Principal W C Hardy chaired the ceremony where a class processional opened and special speakers including Fred Duffly Mayor Edythe Brown B O Warkentin and Jack Wade presented school pins. Rev Cecil A J King from Pine Falls gave the address and Shirley Richmond delivered the valedictory. Grace Griffith received the torch for Grade 10 as Alice Zolondek passed it. The program closed with the choir and solo performances. The day began with a party and lunch at Mayor Brown’s home and a banquet, then the graduation dance in the evening.
