Former Lac du Bonnet Priest Rev J H Broughton Dies
Rev J H Broughton 72 of 669 Kildonan Drive East Kildonan died July 18 at Winnipeg General Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Eynesbury Huntingdon England he came to Canada in 1909 and studied at Emmanuel College Saskatoon. He served Lac du Bonnet Pointe du Bois Pinawa Great Falls Keewatin St James Keewatin chaplain of Odd Fellows rural dean and parish secretary until 1951. Funeral July 22 at St Stephen's East Kildonan with burial in St John's cathedral cemetery.

Mr and Mrs John Duchominsky and their son Bobby were guests of honor at a farewell party in Sand Hill school on July 7. Duchominsky, a Sand Hill teacher for eight years, moves to Elma to teach at the high school. Friends and district residents, including former students, presented an ash tray stand. Speakers were John Modjeski Archie Trapp and Pete Panas. Chairman was Malter Malenchuk.

Eddie Greschuk of Tyndall was seriously injured Tuesday July 21 at 5 am when his 1950 automobile struck a bridge pier near Neepawa. He suffered a fractured jaw leg and cuts and was taken to Neepawa hospital before being moved to Winnipeg General Hospital as his condition improved.
